Condition: Fair This lot consists of one (1) large wooden bookcase. The bookcase has been rated as being in fair condition due to evidence of prior use and general cosmetic wear consistent with regular service. Surface wear includes scratches, scuffs, and other signs of handling. Additionally, two recessed tracks are present along the interior lip of the base. These tracks suggest that the bookcase was originally equipped with sliding doors; however, no sliding doors are present and they are not included with this lot. Prospective bidders will also notice several labels affixed to the shelves. These labels identify various Hominidae species and appear to have been used when the bookcase served as a display unit for skeletal specimens. The labels remain attached and are included with the bookcase. The manufacturer and model of this bookcase are unknown. The unit appears to be constructed of wood; however, the exact wood species or material composition has not been independently verified. The bookcase features three (3) shelves in addition to the bottom base, providing a total of four (4) storage levels.
