The Marantz PMD670/U1B is a professional, transport-free solid-state digital audio field recorder designed for broadcast, interviews, and live music recording. Key Specifications & Features Recording Media: Removable CompactFlash (CF) Type I/II cards and Microdrives (optimized for 1GB and 2GB capacities). Audio Formats: Uncompressed 16-bit linear PCM WAV / Broadcast WAV (BWF) and compressed MP2/MP3 at sample rates up to 48 kHz. Inputs & Outputs: Two balanced Neutrik XLR microphone inputs with switchable +48V phantom power, unbalanced RCA line inputs/outputs, and coaxial S/PDIF digital I/O. Design & Controls: Engineered as a rugged, "journalist-proof" unit with a clear plastic safety shield covering fine-tuning switches to prevent accidental changes during use.
