Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) has for sale one surplus Maxi-Therm Vertical Flooded Shell Heat Exchanger System (Tag HTX-1), manufactured by Maxi-Therm Inc.. The unit will be sold as is and where is, without express or implied warranty. Prospective bidders are responsible for verifying the condition, completeness, suitability, dimensions, service requirements, removal requirements, and all other matters affecting their bid. The available manufacturer submittal package identifies the system as a Maxi-Therm Model MCU-300G-40F-100P, Tag HTX-1, Serial CR-2004801, associated with the KOM Mechanical Upgrades project in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Manufacturer drawings identify the project/customer as Middle Tennessee State University - KOM Building, with drawing number MC-358 and date 03/04/2020. The system consists generally of a vertical flooded steam-to-liquid heating skid for building heat applications. The manufacturer submittal lists the heating capacity as 300 GPM of water from 140°F to 180°F using 5,889 lb/hr of saturated steam at 100 psig, with a maximum condensate outlet temperature of 200°F.
