Full Description

Overview Miscellaneous scrap metal lot consisting of copper, aluminum, and brass totaling several tons. The lot includes a light pole approximately 28.5 feet long with an 8 foot 6 inch arm. This lot is in scrap condition. Condition & Markings This lot is in scrap condition. Parts are missing, and repairs are required. Scrap metal is contained within a dump box (approximately 18 ft x 7 ft x 7 ft) that is full and a copper dumpster that is approximately 2/3 full. The dump box and three dumpsters containing the scrap are not included in the sale and must remain on site. Inspection and Removal Inspection and Removal: Available Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., by confirmed appointment only. The site is closed on weekends and federal holidays. Contact the property custodian (listed below) to schedule an appointment. Property Inspection: Bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect the property prior to placing a bid to evaluate its condition and suitability. By bidding without an inspection, bidders assume the risk of potential omissions in the description. Removal Responsibilities: The successful bidder is solely responsible for all aspects of removal, including packing, crating, banding, loading, and shipping. The agency will not provide assistance. Authorized Third-Party Removal: The authorized third-party agent must present a Letter of Authorization from the high bidder (see terms and conditions for details), a copy of the purchasers receipt, and a valid photo ID at the time of removal. Additional Information: Due to security reasons bidders will be escorted by POC in order to view, no exceptions. Due to security requirements at property location, successful bidders are required to make arrangements in advance for removal of property. Hours of operation that allow for removal are strictly 8:00 AM through 3:00 PM, Monday through Thursday with no weekends or Federal Holidays. Upon arrival to remove property successful bidder is required to contact the POC and the POC will escort them on the premises. Successful bidders will be responsible for bringing any equipment they need to load the scrap. The Corps will not be able to assist with loading scrap metal. A narrow skid loader that would fit within a 7 foot opening will fit into the dump box to allow for easier clean out of the box. Successful bidders will be responsible for packing, securing and removal of any and all property awarded to them from the exact place where the property is located.
