Up for auction is a set of 15 assorted hardwood molding and profile sample blocks. The pieces represent a variety of wood species, construction styles, and decorative edge profiles and may be suitable for woodworking, carving, sanding, finishing, craft projects, or use as reference/display samples. Species and materials identified on the blocks include Iroko, Lyptus, Padauk, Sapele Mahogany, American Cherry, Hard Maple, Distressed Black Walnut, Caramelized Bamboo, Reclaimed Chestnut, Reclaimed Red Oak, Reclaimed Fir, Reclaimed Red Gum, and Reclaimed Antique Pine. Labeled profiles include Classical Ogee, Traditional Ogee, Standard Ogee, Double Roman Ogee, and French Baroque variations. Sizes vary, with individual pieces measuring up to approximately 8 inches long by 5 inches wide by 2-1/2 inches thick. The blocks show varying grain, coloration, knots, holes, distressing, surface wear, and other natural or reclaimed-wood characteristics.
