A small piece of metal, believed to be copper, was cut; the material and thickness could not be confirmed. No further testing was completed. Manufacturer: Peck, Stow & Wilcox Co. (Pexto) Model: 137-K Serial: 6/60 Description: Foot-operated squaring shear for cutting sheet metal. Pexto describes its foot shears as having a heavy-duty cast-iron frame, bed, and cutter-head assemblies, with a machined and surface-ground bed for an accurate working surface. Model 137-K specifications list a 36-inch cutting capacity, a 28-inch back gauge, and support arms. The machine s data plate indicates a 16-gauge soft-steel capacity.
