The Pediascan Model 100 Transilluminator by Sylvan Fiberoptics is a small, cordless, handheld cold-light device used in hospitals to find veins, identify IV/PICC sites, and detect conditions like pneumothorax in newborns.  Specifications Light Output: ±7,000 foot-candle power of brilliant white light Temperature: Maximum tip temperature of 94°F for safety on delicate skin Filtration: Built-in filters remove ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) light energy Design: Cordless, rugged ABS plastic housing with a simple push-button switch Power: Powered by a rechargeable 7.2V battery The Transilluminator has been powered on.
