The City of Akron, Water Reclamation Division, located at 2460 Akron Peninsula Rd., Akron, OH 44313, would like to sell used Transformers in various sizes and ages. All transformers sold as is. The Transformer is located at the Water Reclamation facility and can be loaded onto the bidder’s vehicle for removal from the plant. The winning Bidder must have their truck hauling vehicle on site the day of removal of the transformer(s) to take advantage to the contractor’s removal equipment at the end of the month of May. Vendors may contact Thomas F. Smith at 330-375-2965 to arrange a site visit. • Transformer 2: Was overhauled by Sunbelt Transformer in 2022. The Transformer was a former Ohio Edison transformer now owned by the City of Akron & used to power a boring tunnel machine. Transformer fluid was replaced during the overhaul. Transformer is located at 850 Peck Rd. in Akron., OH. o 7,500 KVA HV 23,000 / LV 12,470/ 7,200 HV/ LV conductors CU/CU Type ONAN/ ONAF, IMP. 8.86% non-PCB. o Transformer No.2 is located at 850 Peck Rd. in Akron, OH. Purchaser will be responsible for removal of the transformer from this site. Condition: Working, sold as is. No shipping available. We will not accept shipping labels.
