The Tuttnauer 69120-2ASP is a large-capacity, automatic steam sterilizer (autoclave) designed for sterilizing laboratory equipment, glassware, liquids, instruments, biological media, and other heat-resistant materials. Steam sterilization is accomplished by exposing materials to saturated steam under pressure at elevated temperatures, effectively eliminating bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores. This unit is commonly used in research laboratories, universities, pharmaceutical facilities, biotechnology operations, healthcare environments, and industrial testing laboratories requiring reliable sterilization of materials and equipment. The unit powers on and initiates sterilization cycles. Chamber temperature and pressure begin to build as expected; however, the gravity cycle and liquid cycle do not complete successfully. The sterilizer develops temperature and pressure but is unable to maintain the required conditions long enough to successfully complete the cycle. As a result, the unit fails to achieve a completed sterilization run. Multiple service contractors have inspected and worked on the sterilizer. Despite several attempts to diagnose and repair the issue, the root cause has not been identified and the problem remains unresolved. Due to the need for a fully operational sterilizer and the cost of continued troubleshooting, the unit has been removed from service and is being offered for sale.
