Two Animal Display Cabinet

Two large modified wood display cases, previously used to house live animals. Each individual unit measures approximately 97" long x 77" high x 19" deep. The top two rows contain glass-front viewing cabinets with functioning locks. Most cubbies still contain mounted artificial rock, stone, and wood features constructed from painted foam. The cabinets are also equipped with misting nozzles, humidity-control components, mesh ceilings for ventilation, and light fixtures previously used for heat lamps. The ceiling mesh appears to be metal and shows minimal rust. Cabinets along the bottom row were used for storage. Cubbies are configured in approximately 15" x 15" small sections and 30" x 15" large sections. Primary materials include varnished wood, with untreated wood surfaces inside the cases, and painted foam interior features. These units are not recommended for housing live animals in their current condition without inspection, cleaning, repairs, and modification. Numerous gaps are present inside the cubbies, and the enclosures may not securely contain smaller animals. Dirt remains in many of the cubbies and cleaning will be required prior to reuse. Additional cosmetic and condition issues include areas where the varnish has been pulled or worn away, scuffs, and damage to portions of the painted foam interior.
