Details: Located at 4175 Hwy 23 N, Dodgeville, WI 53533 -- Structure is being sold “As Is” and is to be totally removed from DNR property. It is the bidder's responsibility to determine condition and any defects. Bidders are strongly encouraged to make a personal inspection prior to bidding. Barn is available for public access, so it is available for viewing at any time. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources makes no representation or guarantee with respect to the use, condition, or access required to load and remove the items in one or multiple piece(s) from the DNR property. Type of Access to Property: Barn can be accessed via public roads Foundation Removal Requirement: Foundation must be removed to ground level Final Site Condition Requirements: Barn and all contents must be removed by the buyer. There will be a $1,000.00 cleaning security deposit required prior to any work on removal of the property. That will ensure that the entire building is removed and that the foundation at ground level is only what will remain from the barn upon removal. The cleaning deposit of $1,000.00 will be refunded if clean-up is completed to the satisfaction of the Department of Natural Resources. Items not included: Any and all materials are to be removed and disposed of by the purchaser. Removal Deadline: January 25, 2027 -- If the removal date has to be later than 60 days, due to weather or other conditions, DNR will work with the buyer to complete the removal as timely as possible. Buyer Requirements: Purchased structure cannot be removed until confirmation of payment is received by WI DNR. Successful buyer will be notified by the auction company of the winning bid by Wisconsin Surplus online auction company. The auction company will notify WI DNR upon payment of the successful bidder. Any and all materials are to be removed and disposed of by the purchaser. WI DNR will be held harmless for any injury incurred while in the act of working on the state property and/or moving the structure/item(s). Structures or item(s) will be removed entirely, either as a whole or in manageable sections in a safe manner by the buyer. The buyer of the structure or item(s) will have until sixty days after payment was made to Wisconsin Surplus of the winning bid to remove the auction item(s). All contents within the barn are the responsibility of the buyer and need to be removed with the structure. The area surrounding the building must remain undisturbed and all debris left from removal must be removed by buyer.
