The median winning bid on a heavy equipment lot at U.S. government auctions fell 34% in the week of October 19, 2026, from $1,025 to $675, across 646 lots that finished bidding.

Other categories that moved by 10% or more: catering +34% (to $110), electronics +22% (to $62), military +22% (to $110), medical or scientific -24% (to $52).

A median moves for two reasons: prices changed, or a different mix of lots closed that week (more trucks than sedans, say). Read one week as a signal to look closer, not as a trend on its own.

How this was made. Categories other than real estate and miscellaneous, moving less than 50%, with at least 100 closed lots in both weeks and a median of $50 or more, from the frozen weekly report for October 19, 2026. Every figure comes straight from our auction records and is frozen as of publication. See our methodology.
