Why buy boring coins when you can own a timeline of U.S. history told entirely through five cent pieces that look like they've survived wars, buffalo stampedes and at least three questionable pockets? Included in this majestic case with a crack is a 1899 Liberty nickel straight out of the 19th century, back when people rode horses, yelled "darn it" and thought electricity was witchcraft. This nickel has seen things but mostly the inside of peoples pockets or coin drawers/bottles, piggybanks. 1936 Buffalo nickel the coin that screams, " I was minted before your grandparents were cool." Features a buffalo who looks like he's absolutely done with everyone's nonsense. 1945 Wartime nickel made with actual wartime metal, because America said, " We need nickel for tanks, give the coins whatever's left." This thing is part currency, part patriotic scrap metal. 2003 Jefferson Nickle is Jefferson staring into the distance like he's judging you, Classic. Reliable. Mildly disappointed. 2004 Peace
