The John Deere 650H LGP is equipped with a 4.52-liter (276 cu. in.) John Deere 4045T turbocharged diesel engine producing approximately 90 horsepower at 2,200 rpm and approximately 316 lb.-ft. of maximum net torque . The machine uses an electronically controlled hydrostatic drive system with independently powered tracks, providing smooth speed control, power turns, and counter-rotation capability. The LGP configuration provides approximately 3.9 psi of ground pressure when equipped with the specified 28-inch shoes, making it particularly useful where reduced ground pressure and increased flotation are desirable. The manufacturer's specifications list an operating weight of approximately 19,100 pounds , a 47-gallon fuel tank, 15-gpm hydraulic flow, and a maximum hydraulic relief pressure of 3,000 psi.
