It had reached the end of its useful service life in our fleet and was replaced with a new bus. At the time it was retired, the transmission had developed a failure requiring replacement or rebuilding. The bus starts, runs, and moves under its own power and can be loaded onto a trailer or driven a short distance if necessary. However, once the transmission reaches operating temperature, it slips significantly during takeoff.
