Finding these older bills is getting more and more difficult, and their value continues to climb every year. The U.S. $1 silver certificate was issued from 1886 to 1957 as paper currency backed by physical silver in the U.S. Treasury. Distinctive for their blue seals, holders could trade them for silver dollars until 1968. They have since become very collectible among monetary collectors. Fun fact: 1957 was the final run of $1 silver certificates and the first to include the motto "In God We Trust". The bill will come with a hard protective sleeve as seen in the photo.
