Up for auction is this wrestling mat system that was made to order for our student rec center. Below are the specs/requirements that were sent out when the mat system was ordered. It demonstrates the parameters of this system. This system consists of six interlocking parts. This mat system is currently rolled up in anticipation of removal. Please see the photos below of the mats in their current state. The department has declared that they're largely in good condition without tears or rips. Here are the specs: 1. Mat system shall meet all minimum NCAA guidelines for wrestling mat as stated in rule 1.6 of the NCAA 2003 Wrestling Rules and Interpretations. 2. Mat system will cover an area of 42 ft. X 42 ft with a wrestling area of 32 ft. in diameter. 3. Mat system shall consist of one side with NCAA markings (Rule 1.7) and practice circles on the other. 4. Mat system will be assembled in 6 sections of 7 ft. each. 5. Color pattern shall be three-toned with blue on the perimeter, red within the wrestling area, and yellow in the center circle. 6. Mat system shall be manufactured with the following minimum characteristics: A. PVC rubber nitrile foam that is designed specifically for impact protection. B. Density (lbs./cu. Ft.)– 5-7 C. 25% Compression Resist (psi) – 5.5-7.7 D. Tensile Strength (psi) – 75 E. Elongation (% min) - 125 F. All mats must be fully enclosed (no exposed foam at seams) with at least 18-24 mils of vinyl coating. 7. Mat system must be fire retardant. Shipping is not available for this auction.
