Overview This lot contains a 1954 Cessna U-3A L-27 M310 aircraft. The aircraft is classified in repairable condition. This deaccessioned aircraft was acquired by the U.S. Army Center of Military History from the Louisiana National Guard in 1984 and has been used for static display purposes. The aircraft has been used as a static display item. No maintenance records, logbooks, airworthiness records, or component records are available. The Government makes no representation that the aircraft is airworthy, complete, repairable, restorable, certifiable, or suitable for aviation use. The successful high bidder will be required to complete the attached End Use Certificate and undergo the approval process before an award can be made. Specifications Make: Cessna Model: U-3A L-27 M310 Serial Number: 575863 Key Features Twin-engine aircraft with 5-seat cabin configuration. Standard equipment includes blind-flying instrumentation and landing lights on port wing. Large door on starboard side for passenger access. Low wing monoplane design with tricycle landing gear. Aircraft displays U.S. Army markings and military star insignia. Currently mounted on display pedestals for static exhibition. Condition & Markings This lot is in repairable condition. Parts are missing, and repairs are required. The aircraft is not operational. Major components are missing from the aircraft. The aircraft shows signs of weathering and age-related wear consistent with outdoor display. The aircraft may not meet 14 CFR standards and may require inspection before flight. All civil and public aircraft must have a valid registration issued by the FAA as required by 14 CFR Chapter I . Civil aircraft must have a valid airworthiness certificate to operate in the U.S. airspace. The aircraft must conform to its FAA Type Certificate to be eligible for a standard air worthiness certificate. Aircraft without a valid airworthiness certificate may qualify for a special FAA one-time flight permit for relocation, such as for storage, repair, inspection, or display. Approval is based on the aircraft's safety for flight. Purchasers of surplus military or foreign aircraft without an FAA Type Certificate may be unable to obtain an airworthiness certificate or special flight permit. An aircraft with proper maintenance and inspection records simplifies airworthiness determination. Contact your nearest FAA Flight Standards District Office to discuss your responsibilities. When purchasing an aircraft for spare parts and scrapping the airframe, you must declassify the aircraft, complete the registration form, and send it to the FAA.
