Each kit includes a Model 2241 2 microprocessor based Scaler/Ratemeter along with two detectors: Model 44 2 Gamma Probe 1"x1" NaI crystal, highly sensitive to gamma radiation, intended for locating radiation sources. Model 44 9 Pancake Probe Detects alpha, beta, gamma, and X ray thin mica window suitable for contamination surveys. Typical kit contents also include the detector cable, check source, case, manuals, and batteries (may be removed for storage). 1 The 2241 2 features a 3 position Off/Ratemeter/Scaler selector switch, protected detector select toggle (Det 1/Det 2), audio on/off switch, fast/slow response selector, LCD backlight, and reset button. The digital display auto ranges and shows indicator messages such as overflow, alert, alarm, and counting. 1 Units show normal signs of use from field operations.
