Transmission: Fully automatic ("rev-and-go") chain-drive transmission with no shifting required. Starting System: Usually a manual pull-start (cord), though some models feature electric start. Top Speed: Generally caps out between 15 to 25 mph (24 to 40 km/h). Safety Controls: Frequently equipped with a throttle limiter (screw to restrict how far the throttle can twist) and a safety kill switch/lanyard (tether that stops the engine if the rider falls off).
