The Coachella Valley Public Cemetery District is offering for sale a used 2011 New Holland T1510 compact diesel tractor. The tractor was used by the District primarily for grounds and cemetery maintenance activities, including towing equipment and supporting routine maintenance operations. Its use was generally limited to the District’s cemetery property, where it operated primarily on flat, maintained grounds in a controlled environment. When not in use, the tractor was typically stored indoors in a warehouse. The unit is equipped with a diesel engine, manual transmission, three-point hitch, turf tires, and ROPS with canopy. The hour meter shows approximately 1,448 hours. The tractor does start and run, but it overheats rapidly and is not currently suitable for normal or extended operation. A service technician reportedly indicated that the overheating may be related to a blown head gasket. The District has not completed further diagnostics or repairs and cannot confirm the full extent of the engine condition. The tractor was originally equipped with four-wheel drive. The 4WD shifter and driveshaft were damaged, and the driveshaft was subsequently disconnected. The tractor is therefore currently operating as a two-wheel-drive unit. The seat upholstery is heavily deteriorated, and the tractor shows cosmetic wear consistent with its age and prior use, including scratches and surface corrosion. Additional mechanical or cosmetic defects may be present that are unknown to the District. The District does not have title, registration, maintenance records, manuals, or other ownership paperwork for the unit. A photograph of the manufacturer identification plate is included with the listing. Prospective bidders are encouraged to inspect the tractor prior to bidding. Because the tractor starts and can be operated for a short period, it may be possible to drive the unit onto a trailer or loading ramp. However, due to the overheating condition, the District does not guarantee how long the tractor will remain operational. The successful bidder is responsible for all labor, equipment, loading, and transportation necessary for removal.
