Below is a description of the item I received from the department. Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) is offering a Sony APR 24 for sale. This two-inch analog tape recorder comes equipped with a 16-track head stack mounted, as well as an additional set of unmounted 24-track heads. The machine and heads are in good overall condition; however, several switches on the locator are non-functional, and others are in poor condition and require replacement. Additionally, some switches in the machine's pull-out control panel also require replacement due to non-functionality. The tape transport operates normally. All channels transmit signal, and the 24-track record, playback, and erase heads are included, though they are not mounted. The manual is also included. Please note that this sale is final; there are no returns or warranties, and the tape machine, along with the additional 24-track heads and locator, is being sold as is.
