Designed for effortless, high-efficiency pressureless steam cooking of vegetables, fruits, meats, seafood, and poultry, this steamer features a compact countertop design and an internal electric steam generator. The generator's removable, sealed cover maintains water temperature of approximately 205 degrees Fahrenheit with a 1.3 gallon capacity tank. This steamer features an automatic water-fill mechanism that fills the unit's steam generator and begins heating the water when switched on. It also features an automatic drain valve, which drains when the unit is turned off, and a drain tempering system capable of meeting 140-degree temperature requirements, which makes this steamer an ideal option for commercial kitchens of all sizes. This unit holds (10) 1" deep full-size food pans, (5) 2 1/2" deep full-size food pans, (3) 4" deep full-size food pans, or (2) 6" deep full-size food pans (sold separately). This item can be mounted flush to the countertop or on the included 4"-5 1/4" adjustable, leveling legs for added stability. This steamer is made with a durable satin-finish 304 stainless steel external cabinet and a 1-piece, welded 316 stainless steel cooking chamber with coved corners for easy cleaning. It features a welded heavy-gauge stainless steel door with a stainless steel outer liner, a removable steel inner liner, a full-perimeter gasket seal, and a positive lock-and-seal mechanism with a spring release. When the door is opened, steam generation is interrupted, and condensate is collected and removed thanks to a built-in drip trough connected to the drain. Steam generation reactivates when the door is closed. This steamer features a 1/2" deliming port at the rear of the generator for easy tank access while cleaning, an automatic blowdown valve, solid-state liquid level controls, and split water connections for easy hookup to the included water treatment system. It also features removable stainless steel pan supports for easy cleaning. This convection steamer features a stainless steel control housing with a full-access, removable panel for easy maintenance. The front-mounted electromechanical controls are designed for ease of use, with an illuminated 3-way power switch with on, off, and delime settings. The unit also features a ready indicator light and a cooking indicator light. A 60-minute electromechanical timer with an audible alarm signals the end of the cooking cycle. For enhanced versatility and customization when creating delicious meals, this unit is compatible with Southbend stacking kits, stands, and additional accessories (sold separately).
