How foreclosure auctions work
A clerk foreclosure auction sells property under a court's final judgment of foreclosure. Bidding is usually online on the county's auction site; the winning bidder typically pays a deposit right after the auction and the balance shortly after, often by the next business day. Properties are sold as-is, and a sale can be cancelled if the owner pays or files for bankruptcy.
