Is it free to bid on government auctions?

| Applies to U.S. government auctions

Yes. Registering and bidding on the official platforms, such as GSA Auctions, GovDeals, Public Surplus and PropertyRoom, is free. Their listings are public and free to browse.

You pay only for what you win: the winning bid, plus any buyer's premium and sales tax that platform charges, and you arrange your own pickup. Some real estate and county sales ask for a refundable deposit to bid.

Any site that charges a membership fee, credits or a "bid pack" just to see government auction listings is charging you for information that is already free. GovAuctions.app is also free to search, with no account needed.
