Bidders are encouraged to review all photos and make their own assessment before bidding. About This Coin: The Standing Liberty Quarter was designed by Hermon Atkins MacNeil and struck from 1916 through 1930. The 1930-S represents the final year of this iconic series struck at the San Francisco Mint — notably scarcer than the Philadelphia issue with fewer examples surviving in any grade. At 96 years old this is a genuine piece of Depression era American history. Strike quality is critical on this series as the high relief design was notoriously difficult to strike fully — bidders are encouraged to examine all photos carefully before bidding.
