2004 Sutphen Monarch 110’ ladder Truck. Engine is a Cat V-12 with EGR with Allison transmission. Mileage is 96,410 Engine hours are 8,688. The driveline is original. We have serviced the truck and aerial twice a year since it was new. We have repacked or replaced all outrigger cylinders, reach, lift cylinders, and basket tilt cylinders. The water pump is a Waterous CSU 1,500 gallon per minute. It can flow water from either side of the basket. The truck was part of the recall from Sutphen between 2013 or 2014 for the cables. It received all new cables and sheeves during this time. The truck was aerial inspected every year and pump tested every year. The truck was in service this year until it was involved in an accident. It hit an object on the side of the road with the last two feet of the right side of the truck. The damage is shown in pictures. The right rear compartment door and panel below it, the right rear corner of the truck, the support bracket on the basket, the basket step, and the step cylinders. What you don’t see is the yoke that connects the basket to the waterway may be bent. The insurance adjuster spoke with Sutphen and decide to include the yoke in the cost of the repairs incase it was out of tolerance. Repairs were estimated at $129,713.24. This wasn’t enough to total it. The truck still has a clean title.
