2008 Sutphen Shield Series Pumper Mileage 999999 (true mileage unknown) Engine hours 10299 (true engine hours unknown) Hale Qmax 1500 GPM pump 750 gallon water tank Cummins ISL Motor 400 HP Allison EVS 3000 automatic transmission Onan generator rated at 6KW. Morehead City fire department is selling our 2008 Sutphen engine. This truck was used as a front line apparatus and was taken out of frontline service in April of 2026. The truck was in front line service for the entirety of its life. Batteries replaced 09/2026. The motor was replaced 12/2019. Mileage at the time the motor was replaced was 74226. The odometer was not changed when the motor was replaced and shows 999999 miles. We estimate that the motor currently has around 40 thousand miles on it. The hour meter was also not reset at the time and the number is accurate for the life of the truck. Last pump test was passed in 2024. Documentation of pump testing can be provided upon request. Pump test was not completed in 2025. Known issues: Motor does have oil leak, unsure where from. Various emergency lights and scene lights are inoperable due to bulbs being blown. Pump has a few gauges that are not accurate or are broken. Air leak around the pump shift. Truck has normal wear and tear associated with being in frontline service for 18 years. Truck is sold AS IS WHERE IS. Appointments can be scheduled to inspect apparatus.
