2006 Sutphen 70 foot Platform Mini Tower Mileage 209675 Engine hours 11576 PTO hours 378 Aerial Hours 1766 Hale Qmax 1500 GPM pump 500 gallon water tank Cummins ISM Motor 450 HP Allison 4000 automatic transmission Onan generator rated at 8000 Watts Morehead City fire department is selling our 2006 Sutphen quint. This truck was used as a front line apparatus and was taken out of frontline service in May of 2025. It was placed in reserve status until April of 2026 when it was permanently taken out of service due to issues with the ladder device. Sutphen estimates repair cost at around $10,000 as of April of 2026. One of the bolts in the gear house at the turn table sheared off rendering the ladder device out of service. Prior to April of 2026 the ladder device had been tested every year. Documentation of both pump and ladder testing can be provided upon request. Pump test was completed in 2025. Known issues: Ladder device is inoperable. Various emergency lights and scene lights are inoperable due to bulbs being blown. Pump has 2 valves that are leaking by. Discharge 1 and discharge 4. A/C is not working. Has quit since truck was taken out of service, unsure what issue may be. Truck has normal wear and tear associated with being in frontline service for 19 years. Truck is sold AS IS WHERE IS. Appointments can be scheduled to inspect apparatus.
