How do you register for government auctions?
| Applies to U.S. government auctions
You create a free account on the platform that runs the sale you want to bid on. There is no single government login, so an account on GovDeals does nothing on GSA Auctions.
What signup involves on the main sites: GSA Auctions runs an identity check through Experian and then emails your login. GovDeals is free, but new buyers start on probation with a $1,000 card cap and three open auctions at a time, which clears after three transactions, $5,000 in purchases or a $1,000 bid deposit. Public Surplus has no probation period. PropertyRoom requires email verification before you can bid.
Register in the exact name and address you want on the paperwork. On PropertyRoom the bill of sale and any vehicle title are generated from your account details as they stood at your first bid.

GovAuctions.app is a free search engine over official government auction platforms. We do not sell items or take bids; each listing links to the platform running the sale, whose terms apply. Rules vary by platform and seller, so check the listing before you bid.
