The roll was hand assembled by the previous collector and has not been searched or altered by the seller. Being sold exactly as acquired from the estate. What you are bidding on: One (1) roll of 50 Lincoln Wheat Pennies — 1942-P Philadelphia Mint (no mint mark) Hand assembled by previous estate owner — sold exactly as acquired Roll has NOT been opened, searched, or altered by the seller Coins have NOT been independently examined, graded, or verified by the seller These coins are 84 years old — genuine WWII era issue About These Coins: The 1942-P Lincoln Wheat Penny was struck during the first full year of American involvement in World War II. With a mintage of 657 million coins the Philadelphia Mint was running at full wartime production capacity. The 1942 issue is also notable for the dramatic 1942/41 overdate variety showing a clear 1 underneath the 2 in the date — one of the most sought after wheat penny varieties worth significantly above face value in any grade. While no specific varieties are guaranteed this is an unsearched estate roll making any find possible.
